One KU Integrations Working Group

The One KU Integrations Working Group brings together leaders and subject matter experts from across the University of Kansas to support the successful implementation of One KU.

This group plays a critical role in helping the university align organizations, processes, and systems to operate as a more unified institution — strengthening collaboration, improving effectiveness, and advancing KU’s mission across all campuses and units.

The One KU Integrations Working Group is designed to support organizational transformation efforts by:

  • Bringing together cross-functional expertise and institutional knowledge
  • Leveraging collective judgment and experience to guide integration planning
  • Evaluating and improving business processes and operations
  • Serving as trusted partners for innovation and problem-solving

This is not a decision-making group, and all major decisions related to One KU are the responsibility of the University Cabinet.

Key Responsibilities

Members of the working group collaborate to:

  • Identify One KU integration challenges and opportunities
  • Provide accountability and transparency for One KU projects that support the advancement of One KU and/or have a broad or significant impact on both campuses.
  • Partner closely with their cabinet leader to stay engaged on One KU alignment and project activities and their unit's top priorities.

How the Group Works

To ensure effective collaboration and progress, the group operates with a structured cadence:

  • Full working group meetings: Every six weeks to review updates and progress
  • Functional subgroup meetings: Biweekly to address specific challenges and roadblocks
    • The group gathers updates on One KU alignments and One KU projects every month.
